Tear Keeper is a multimedia fantasy/sci-fi project centered around the music of brothers, Ian and Joey Orovich. Based in Hampstead, Maryland, USA, Ian and Joey have been making music together since 2015. They pull from alternative, emo, and prog influences as varied as Chevelle, Mastodon, and Tool, creating a sound all their own.
They released their first EP ‘Speak’ in January of 2025 and continue writing and recording as they perform alongside a diverse crowd of DelMarVa’s rock and metal scene. Their powerful live sound blends subtlety and raw emotion to create a moving experience for everyone who hears.
Born from the breakdown of their family and the struggle to rebuild and reconnect in a changing world, their use of poetic forms and literary techniques reframe a story too personal to Speak out loud in terms that are as timeless as they are cutting. Every song is a page from the First Book, a powerful relic discovered by the Tear Keeper in the ruins of his greatest creation.
